We hope you’ve been able to come out and enjoy all that Northwest Community Park has to offer. In June of 2019, we completed our latest addition--The playground at Northwest Community Park. The Playground was funded by the community and was built by the community over the course of a mere five days. It was incredible to see the community unite over a common good, even though the days were long and the labor exhausting. All told, we dug 225 holes that were at least 3 feet deep (sometimes more), spread over 600 cubic yards of mulch, spread 225 cubic yards of stone, and saw 600+ volunteers contribute including 17 sports teams from community schools. Features of the playground include:

• 11,500 sq. ft.
  
• Distinct areas for older and younger kids
  
• Completely fenced in with single entry for security
  
• Therapeutic swing
  
• 3 rock climbing walls
  
• 4 slides
  
• Plenty of picnic tables and benches to accommodate the entire family
