Bible Reading Plans

Men and Women in the Bible Every Day.

  • Daily Bible Reading Plan (Whole Bible) - This reading plan leads the reader through four daily readings taken from four lists: Psalms and wisdom literature, Pentateuch and history of Israel, Chronicles and prophets, and Gospels and epistles.
  • M'Cheyne Bible Reading Plan (Whole Bible)- This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from the Psalms or the Gospels.
  • Chronological Bible Reading Plan (Whole Bible) - Read through the Bible in a year in the order that the events chronologically occurred.
  • 5x5x5 New Testament Reading Plan (New Testament) - Read through the New Testament in a year, reading Monday to Friday. Weekends are set aside for reflection and other reading. Especially beneficial if you’re new to a daily discipline of Bible reading.
  • 6-month New Testament Plan (New Testament) - This plan walks you through the New Testament by reading 1-2 chapters, 7-days/week. You can easily make this a 5-day/week reading plan to read through the NT in 9 months.
  • Grant Horner Bible Reading (Whole Bible+) - Reading ten chapters a day, in the course of a year you’ll read the Gospels four times, the Pentateuch twice, Paul’s letters four to five times, the Old Testament wisdom literature six times, the Psalms at least twice, Proverbs and Acts a dozen times, and the Old Testament history and prophetic books about one and a half times. (This is Pastor Kasey's preferred Bible Reading Plan)

In the early 1800's, Pastor Robert Murray M'Cheyne encouraged his congregation to be in God's Word:

Above all, use the Word as a lamp to your feet and a light to your path - your guide in perplexity, your armour in temptation, your food in times of faintness. Hear the constant cry of the great Intercessor,

'Sanctify them in truth, your word is truth.'
